Assemblymember Arambula to Host Community Health and Resource Fairs April 16 and April 18 in West Fresno

FRESNO – Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula (D-Fresno) will host two 31st Assembly District Community Health and Resource Fairs this week in West Fresno.

The first fair – on Thursday, April 16 – will be held at West Fresno Center-Fresno City College at 600 E. Church Ave. in Fresno, 93706.

The second event – on Saturday, April 18 – will be presented at Saint Rest Baptist Church, at 1550 E. Reverend Chester Riggins Ave. in Fresno, 93706.

Both events are free and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon.

Assemblymember Arambula works in collaboration with partners and sponsors as well as participants from cities, community-based organizations, education agencies, and other public-spirited groups to make these fairs possible.

The Community Health and Resource Fairs have been a priority for Assemblymember Arambula since his election in 2016 as the representative for the 31st Assembly District in Fresno County. They have always been envisioned as a free “one-stop” approach to provide basic health services, health screenings, and resources information to residents in disadvantaged neighborhoods and rural communities.

The two upcoming fairs also will feature free food distributions.

Assemblymember Arambula said: “From the time we established these free resource fairs, my AD 31 Team and I have always wanted to make sure that people living in underserved areas could access basic health screenings and other essential information and resources at a single event. We wanted to make these fairs convenient and worthwhile to help enhance their health and wellness and elevate their quality of life.”

Chief partners for the April 16 event are West Fresno Center-Fresno City College, the Fresno State Mobile Health Unit, and the Sierra Health Foundation. The main partners for the April 18 fair are Saint Rest Baptist Church and the Fresno State Mobile Health Unit.
